Promotion to sell historical share certificate to start on July 15, 2008
- Proceeds to be donated to the Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe (German association set up to support sportsmen and women)
Berlin, July 15, 2008 – Beta Systems Software AG today initiates the sale of its
historical, invalid share certificates and will donate the proceeds of this compaign to a good
cause. As a software company with international operations, Beta Systems, which has its
headquarters in Berlin, already supports a number of projects which promote vocational training,
the young and sports. Interested parties or collectors of share certificates can order a set of
historical Beta Systems shares on the company’s web site at
www.betasystems.com under the heading Investor
Relations/Historical Share Certificates, thereby supporting the Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe with a
donation of € 14.90.

A set of share certificates is made up of a historical, invalid shares of originally 5
deutschmarks (blue), 50 deutschmarks (brown), 500 deutschmarks (green) and 5,000 deutschmarks

Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe – facts and figures
Since its founding in 1967, Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe has to date supported more than
40,000 German sportsmen and women with around € 350 million. 90 percent of all medals won for the
German Federal Republic at Olympic games, world and European championships were won by athletes
