  • Ensures compliance with national and international IT security requirements

  • Enables cost savings with easy installation and maximum system compatibility

Berlin / CeBIT, Hanover, Germany. 15 – 21 March 2007 – Beta Systems Software AG, a provider of high-quality products and services for secure and efficient information management in data centers, has announced the launch of the Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor, its new analysis and monitoring software for dynamic IT auditing across systems. The Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor detects critical conditions and incidents in corporate IT systems and provides continuous, documented monitoring. This guarantees companies and users a high level of IT security to protect business-critical data and to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Efficient IT Security Management with Beta Systems
The Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor is a platform-independent software solution that continuously captures, monitors and analyzes structured and unstructured data consistently and from a wide variety of systems. It automatically formats the results into reports that document vulnerabilities and deviations from security policies. These reports are then sent to the IT person responsible for the system concerned. The new solution can be used for the entire audit process – from the initial analysis through to permanent monitoring.

“A growing number of national and international laws and regulations set stringent requirements for IT security and reporting in companies and institutions,” explains Rudolf Tetzlaff, Product Manager at Beta Systems Software AG. “These requirements include extensive IT security audits. If companies do not comply, they risk severe lawsuits, blocked access to certain markets, and difficulties raising credit. With the Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor, users have a practical tool at their disposal that not only effectively supports day-to-day IT security management, but can also be gradually extended as necessary.”

Ease of Integration into Existing Operations Ensures Smooth Transfer of Audit Processes
The policies that were developed by industry experts, together with auditors from Germany’s Federal IT Security Agency (BSI or Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnologie), to ensure compliance with laws and regulations – such as Basel II, Sarbanes Oxley and KonTraG – are already integrated into the Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor. This enables companies to save a considerable amount of time and money. The preconfigured IT security policies are available for z/OS, Windows, UNIX, OS/400 and SAP systems and provide a strong foundation for dynamic audit. Using the Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor, companies can schedule their selected security policies to be executed at the intervals they choose. The resulting reports are saved in the Beta 96 Enterprise Compliance Auditor and sent to the relevant staff members by email. Individual policies, such as company-internal guidelines, can also be configured according to the specific requirements involved and created by staff or by qualified Beta Systems personnel as part of a service project.
