Beta Systems’ contribution to the GSA forum comprises its extensive experience of implementing security policies to achieve regulatory compliance. The Security Alliance is an affiliation of leading providers of security and risk management technologies and aims to help customers rapidly meet the regulations of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
As the components of Beta Systems’ SAM Identity Management Suite can be integrated with SAP® applications, they broaden the choice of solutions available to SAP customers. Beta Systems’ SAM Jupiter is a provisioning solution that ensures that the administration of IT users and their IT access rights is efficient and compliant with security policies, throughout the enterprise and across all strategic platforms, including SAP. Using SAM Jupiter to efficiently manage SAP applications
Beta Systems’ SAM Identity Management Suite delivers integrated functions and components that
automate user administration processes. All administration tasks are auditable and can be
verified so that user accounts and access rights always comply with corporate security policies.
The automated functions of the provisioning component, SAM Jupiter, offer customers even more
cost-effective SAP user administration.
SAM Jupiter is the acknowledged market leader in role-based user administration and enables user
rights to be grouped together in business process-oriented roles. This ensures that role-based
access rights management in SAP applications can be aligned with an enterprise-wide role approach
and administered more easily and with more clarity. The connection between SAM Jupiter and SAP
systems is established with connectors, which are used by about a third of all SAM Jupiter
customers – some of whom use the provisioning solution to manage up to 200,000 users.
The Single Sign-On module - SAM eSSO - delivers increased security and ease of use for staff
entering their user ID and password combination. Users are given hassle-free and secure access to
the IT systems they need with just one authentication. Single Sign-On solutions in a SAP
environment need to offer a high level of flexibility to cope with the variation of SAP application
configurations. SAM eSSO offers exactly this level of flexibility and can also handle extensive SAP
application sign-on dialogs.
