Berlin/Augsburg, Germany, 19 October 2006 – Beta Systems Software AG (Prime Standard: BSS on the German stock exchange), provider of software products and solutions for securely and efficiently processing large volumes of data, announced today that its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) business unit has moved to the city center of Augsburg. The company is now operating from its new offices at Huebnerstrasse 3. The move underlines Beta Systems' commitment to Augsburg as an important operational center.
The Augsburg-based document management competence center, with its team of 280 staff, develops and markets technologies for electronically capturing, managing, storing, and making available documents for industry sectors including banking, insurance, public authorities, commerce, and services. The ECM business unit operates in what is currently a growth market, and in 2005 it accounted for about 50 per cent of Beta Systems' total revenues. Beta Systems develops the majority of its ECM product range in Augsburg and most of its sales, support, and project management operations are managed from there.
