- Beta Systems to demonstrate application scenario for ‘Automated Mailbox Distribution' at DMS Expo
DMS EXPO 2006 Cologne/Berlin, 20 September 2006 – Beta Systems Software AG (Prime Standard: BSS), provider of high-quality software products and solutions for secure and efficient document man-agement, has seamlessly integrated its FrontCollect input management solution into the next generation of Microsoft technologies: Windows Vista, Sharepoint Server 2007 and Office 2007. Beta Systems will be demonstrating a technological prototype at the Cologne DMS EXPO, Hall 8, Stand H030/F031. The demonstration will show the application scenario 'Automated Mailbox Distribution' for Contoso GmbH (Ltd.), Microsoft’s fictitious example company. Close collaboration between Beta Systems and Microsoft played a significant role in the successful completion of this integration work. Thanks to the consolidation of its competence in the Microsoft environment, Beta Systems was recently awarded Microsoft Gold Partner Status.
The application scenario for Contoso GmbH shows how the integration of FrontCollect into the latest Microsoft technologies allows Microsoft users both to save time and to optimise processes in the management of all printed and electronic inbox mail. Faxes, emails and digitalised paper mail are pre-categorised using data extraction and classification and according to jurisdictions, competences and processor. Archiving time in the Office environment is markedly reduced, and all necessary archiving is secured in terms of compliance. The Task Pane function, which makes suggestions on the classification of documents, also simplifies archiving. Team publications in SharePoint and further document distribution can be done automatically. Integration of FrontCollect into Microsoft technologies allows Microsoft users economically to keep efficient control of the growing in-formation flow, and to improve the quality of management processes.
FrontCollect is implemented step by step, and thanks to its modular design, Beta Systems experts can tailor it precisely to the needs of individual customers. During integration of FrontCollect into an existing company IT landscape, the numerous interfaces assure problem-free, flexible connections and rapid system start-up.
