Beta Systems announces change in Executive Management Board

Longtime Executive Board Member Dr. Oskar von Dungern leaves Company by mid of year
Berlin, April 3, 2006 – The Supervisory and Executive Boards of Beta Systems Software AG (BSS, ISIN DE0005224406) today announce that Dr. Oskar von Dungern, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Research and Development, and the Supervisory Board agreed not to renew his appointment as Executive Board Member which runs out at the end of 2006. The Supervisory Board approved this agreement in an extraordinary Supervisory Board meeting yesterday evening. Upon his own request, Dr. von Dungern leaves the Company already effective July 1, 2006 in order to endeavor new business opportunities. He will remain affiliated with the Company in an advisory function.
Dr. von Dungern has been a Member of the Executive Board of Beta Systems for more than 7 years. He considerably contributed to the technological and strategic realignment of the Company. During that period Beta Systems developed from a small independent German software provider for mainframe-oriented data centers to a leading European IT solution provider on the area of infrastructure software for large enterprises and the revenue grew from 38 million Euro to 96 million Euro, mainly due to targeted acquisitions. The Supervisory and Executive Boards of Beta Systems expressly thank Dr. von Dungern for his high commitment and the successful cooperation in the previous fiscal years.
