Software Sales Representative f/m

Western United States + Western Canada
(based in Calgary)


The Role is:

  • Focus on sales of our Identity Management (IdM) and Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) solutions

  • Responsible for the development of both direct and partner sales for new customers as well as existing accounts

  • Reports directly to the U.S. Country Manager and Director of Global Sales

  • Position will be based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Beta’s Calgary operation already includes a software development lab, the North American Customer Support Center and pre-sales support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Key Account Management

  • Selling Beta Systems products

  • Acquiring new customers


Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years proven IT industry sales experience focused on Data Center and/or Identity Management solutions. (note: Identity Management is not network, perimeter, or threat security).


  • Experience in Mainframe Environments is a must

  • Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows systems

  • Experience with one or more of the following Identity Management technology areas is preferred: User Provisioning, Password Reset, Enterprise Single Sign-On 

  • Strong ability to present to clients, and an in depth understanding of both Software and Professional Services Sales

  • Candidate must have a proven ability to present to, and sell to, Fortune 1000 senior IT managers

  • Strong communication, time management, presentation skills

  • Strong technical, business, and consultative sales skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology related field is preferred

  • Willingness to travel

  • Additional skills: French and German language skills would be an asset
